  Welcome To My Website

Simply put, I love creating solutions…I thrive on it. Years spent learning, teaching and practicing has only increased my passion for it. It has brought great reward and personal growth and has taught me that art and design are about sharing. It is about sharing knowledge, stories, and experiences.

My background as an educator includes 18 exhilarating years as a graphic/web design faculty at both Lansing and Kellogg Community College. Throughout my tenure, I have developed and instructed numerous traditional, hybrid, and web-based courses including Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, History of Graphic Design, Intro to Graphic Design, Graphic Design I & II, Web Design, Advertising, Typography, and Portfolio.

My professional experience includes numerous creative roles related to art and design. Through these experiences, I have gained valuable insight of modern practices in the field while collaborating and networking with noted professionals. As the field of of design constantly changes, professors must stay aware of these changes to communicate them with the students. I feel my professional credentials augment my instructional background to provide a unique perspective to students in my classes.

From an academic standpoint, I hold a Master's degree in Communications from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor's Degree from Kendall College of Art & Design. My research interest explored in graduate school focused on the integration of new technologies in the classroom with a focus on learning and instructional styles, and the responsibilities in online and non-traditional learning.
